If this will be our first time meeting, I'm Lindsey and we're going to have the best time making these portraits for you. You're picking a great first project for us to create together - These sessions are going to be relaxed in spirit (i.e. we'll probably laugh a lot the whole time) but will result in soft and sexy images. The best combo if you ask me!

You've just arrived at your Paris flat after a rainy morning of croissants and coffee (or perhaps a French 75) under a cafe umbrella (I wholeheartedly encourage actually spending your pre-shoot morning this way!) and now you're getting ready for a night out with someone fabulous. You *know* you're going to look amazing, and you're going to thoroughly enjoy yourself between now and then.
That's the headspace to be in as you arrive and begin your hair + makeup styling with our professional artist, Dominique Ruiz. Good music. A glass of champagne if that's your thing. When you're feeling fantastic about your look, we'll ease our way into your portraits.
Wardrobe for these can be minimal - your favorite robe, a black bodysuit, your favorite underwear. Or you can use this as a chance to break out your best LBD. There will be lots of flowy fabrics and beautiful backdrops for us to wander amongst. I'll give you direction so you'll know how to move in a way that looks natural and gorgeous on camera. We'll get images full of movement and close ups. You may feel a bit transported, and the time will fly.

What's the process for viewing and buying my portraits?
For black and white images, it's best to stick to neutral colors (I recommend only bringing stuff that is black, white, nude or navy). A classic oversized white or black button down is always great, a black bodysuit, a slip or a robe, your favorite neutral colored underwear. You can keep it simple. Of course, if you want to bring your favorite LBD that's perfect too. A couple of weeks before your session, I'll send over information of more specifics of what to wear/bring, so definitely don't stress about this!

Almost everyone feels this way, but I promise you that once we get going you won't have time to feel awkward because I will be giving you tons of direction. We'll get into a flow so you can't overthink it! As for retouching, the nature of these particular portraits will naturally lend to a less retouched style, but where necessary I will of course touch up blemishes, etc. And please let me know if there is anything you're particularly sensitive about.

These series are all about getting into a creative mindset and making art, so no headshots during these! But I'm happy to schedule a separate session for that anytime.

As soon as the shoots wrap up, I'll get started editing your images. In about a month, you'll receive a link to your personal online "art gallery" where you can select your favorite image for me to have made into an art print for you (included with your session fee), as well as purchase any additional portraits you'd like. Extra images begin at $250/each for a print+file. I'll also be making a little video for each person with a montage of all your best images from the day.
